Symptoms of Depression in Women: Identify Causes and How to Handle


1. Depression in Women:

Depression is more common in women than in men. In general, women have twice the risk than men to experience depression in his life. This is due to genetic factors and social. In psychosocial women experienced more psychosocial distress than men.

Depression in women is very common. And as many as one out of every four women tend to experience a major depressive episode at some point in their lives. 6. Insomnia or hypersomnia.

 

Symptoms of Anxiety:

- Anxiety, tension, feeling restrained.

- Irritable, angry, easily interpersonal conflicts with others.

- Feelings of loss control.

 

Cognitive Symptoms:

- Difficulty concentrating.
Physical symptoms:

- Enlarged breasts.

- Headache, sore muscles and joints.

- Weight gain.

- Feelings of nausea.

 

3. Symptoms of Depression in Women & Causes:

  • Problem menstruation: Fluctuations in hormones during the menstrual cycle cause symptoms such as pain, fatigue, uncontrolled emotions. For some women, premenstrual pain during walking may be unusual, but for other women can abuse.
  • Pregnancy and fertility:  The hormone that turns into the cause of the increased risk of depression. Also out of wedlock pregnancy, fertility issues are also the biggest cause of depression in women.
  • Depression after childbirth: Commonly called the baby blues. This is a normal reaction that occurred two weeks after giving birth. Same as the above conditions, the cause erratic hormonal fluctuations.

  • Physical and sexual violence: The violence that occurs in childhood lead to depression continuing into adulthood. As a result many women escape his frustration by doing things that are unexpected or even shut down.

Presence of friends makes a woman more comfortable sharing. Anxiety and fear surrounding the women who live alone or without a partner.

4. Treatment based on the Symptoms of Depression in Women:

Depression can be cured with the use of medication, counseling and or a combination of both. It’s also important for patients to take care of yourself well (be patient), regular exercise and healthy diet. Counseling alone may help if the depression is still in mild depression scale.

Anti-depressant medications (Antidepressant) is highly effective in treating depression. There are many kinds of anti-depressant medication and the doctor will prescribe the right depression to the patient. Medicine alone or medicine with counseling or a combination of both would be helpful for most women with depressive disorders.
